How Timed Mahjong works
It's Mahjong Solitaire with a countdown timer. The board is the same as the classic mode, but now time is your adversary. The idea is simple: match equal and free tiles as fast as possible.
Time rules
- You start with 5 minutes.
- Each correct pair gives +2 seconds.
- Each wrong pair takes -1 second.
- Hint costs 3 seconds and shuffle costs 5 seconds.
- If time runs out, the game ends.
Strategy to beat the clock
Don't click the first pair that appears. Save a few seconds to look at the entire board and plan a sequence of two or three moves. Start with upper layers and sides, which free more tiles. Save hints for when you're truly stuck — they're expensive in timed mode.
As time bonuses accumulate, a sequence of consecutive correct answers can recover lost time. The secret is maintaining rhythm without stumbling.
